Choosing a domain name for your website is as important as the website itself. Without a recognizable domain name, customers may have a hard time finding your website or remembering your company name. Most domain names include the company name, location, or industry. A good domain name shouldn’t exceed around four words, include any misspellings, or contain numbers/dashes.
When choosing a domain name, keep in mind that other top level domains (TLDs) may be available. For example, while example.com may cost upwards of a thousand dollars, example.net may only be sixty dollars. There are many industry and country specific TLDs that may be a better fit for your website, and these don’t affect your search ranking.
